– Rep. Frank Ryan (R-Lebanon) has been appointed chairman of the House Subcommittee on Military and Veterans Facilities by House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) for the 2019-20 Legislative Session.
The panel is a subcommittee of the larger House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, of which Ryan is a member.
“I am honored Speaker Turzai selected me to chair the Military and Veterans Facilities subcommittee,” Ryan said. “I welcome this opportunity to use the experience I gained in the Marine Corps and in contingency operations and emergency preparedness to improve our safety posture in the Commonwealth. This position will also serve to allow me to help protect our veterans and veteran homes and ensure we have the resources needed to fulfill the mission.”
Ryan, a retired U.S. Marine Reserve colonel, is in his second term and also serves on the House Aging & Older Adult Services, Finance, Liquor Control and State Government committees.
