HARRISBURG – Rep. Frank Ryan (R-Lebanon) announced today that the Commonwealth Financing Authority today approved $312,035 for sewer and sanitation infrastructure in South Londonderry Township.
Ryan strongly supported the grant application, which was approved on Tuesday by a vote of the Commonwealth Finance Authority (CFA).
“Stormwater and sewage infrastructure are critical concerns in our area, and I was happy to write a letter of support for the municipality’s grant application,” Ryan said. “This project will rehabilitate 128 manholes to reduce inflow and infiltration into the collection system.”
The rehabilitation project is significant in scope and includes the replacement of manhole frames and covers, securing the manholes for leaks with modern materials. Two of the manholes need to be completely replaced.
“I want to thank the CFA board members for recognizing the value of this project. This is a good use of public funds and that is why I supported it.”
